Extended reality video studio experience
Client: Money 20/20
Skill set: Extended Reality / Animation / Unity / App Development
Money 20/20 wanted to create an eye-popping XR experience that would attract participants to take video selfies at their yearly global shows.
The area at the show was themed around honey so we designed an experience that would augment animated flowers, butterflies, bees, honey drips and immersive audio onto and around an enormous 3m tall physical ‘M’ logo backdrop.
We needed to:
- Create the experience to be adapatable at the show and not be reliant on changeable physcial props
- Make a simple interactive touch screen app to capture e-mail addresses
- Blend in CGI 3D animated flora, fawna, animals and honey seemelesly without knowing lighting conditions
- Create an automated video capture element and email sending system that could send videos directly to participants instantly
- Display the XR video feed in real time to show participants what was being recorded as the experience took place
This was all achieved and delivered for the event with a hybrid setup of Unity software running the XR experience on a Mac, iPad with touch screen email entry, 3rd monitor to display the experience to participants and a webcam for video capture.
The Money Pot video experience was a huge success and went down well with the everyone at the US event leading to it being extended and rolled out for the European and Asia shows.
